Who we are

The ASHARE UK chapter was formed by combining the ASHRAE UK Midlands and London & South East chapter on 1st of March 2023. Members based in Midlands and London & South East region are automatically enrolled. We welcome all members in the UK to join us.

What we do

At ASHRAE UK Chapter, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. Support is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality and sustainability within the industry. Through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education, ASHRAE shapes tomorrow’s built environment today.

As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our members and supporters to continue our important work in advancing the HVAC&R industry through education, research, and networking opportunities. Your donations will help us to offer a wide range of programs and events, from technical workshops and seminars to student scholarships and research projects. By donating to ASHRAE UK, you are investing in the future of our industry and supporting the growth and development of our community. We appreciate your support and thank you for your generosity.

A Message From The Chapter President

It is my privilege and honour to be the newly elected President of the ASHRAE UK Chapter. Keeping up with the legacy and tradition I am setting up the theme for this year This year my theme will echo with the vision from the previous ASHRAE President which is “Empowering the workforce: building a sustainable future” So I my focus will be to Engage, invest, mentor and provide opportunities towards upskilling the workforce and bring a sustainable future for next gen” Climate change, global warming, greenhouse gas emissions are the alarming topics that needs to be addressed today. Environmental regulations come into play, and they drive most of the research functions these days. Addressing climate change is the foremost goal of all the industry sectors. It then becomes our responsibility as a scientific community to step forward and invest in ideas on how to deal with these challenges. The best way is to foster engagement from young minds, collaborate on new ideas, mentor passionate and committed professionals and try to bring a positive change to the environment to provide a sustainable future to the next gen It needs to start with every individual who is passionate about learning, contributing in way or the other to the scientific communities. We need to spread awareness among the younger generation, establish a platform for them, leverage their skills, foster collaboration with universities, take advice from industry experts, explore all opportunities and move forward to find solutions We must facilitate the adaptive approach, thinking ahead and team collaboration of young talent and experienced professionals along with little training which will help progress the industry growth. Every member can be an ambassador if they have the same passion I request all the ASHRAE members to come forward, bring in ideas, work together, motivate each other, contribute in whatever way possible and make a difference. Each one of you is valuable. I want to assure that your contribution will be acknowledged. Every single effort will be counted towards our chapters progress and success. Please come forward and participate To conclude, I want to take forward the vision from the Previous Presidents and keep the momentum going for investing in knowledge exchange, engaging by establishing collaboration, mentoring by sharing experience, invest in ideas and bring solutions to create a better life on this planet
